It is really amazing news for devotees who have been looking forward to visiting Uttarakhand. According to the Uttarakhand Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board, the Kedarnath Temple portals will reopen on May 17. According to the commission, Lord Shiva's idol will be moved out of its winter abode at Ukhimath's Omkareshwar on May 14th. The holy temple will reopen to devotees on May 17 at 5 a.m.


On November 16, 2020, the famous temple was closed to devotees. According to the spokesperson, another well-known shrine, Badrinath Temple, which was closed on November 19 last year, will reopen to devotees on May 18.


Following the reopening of the famous four temples, on May 14, the Gangotri and Yamunotri temples will reopen to devotees, and the holy Char Dham Yatra will begin this year.

From April to May each year, the main doors of Uttarakhand's four prominent Himalayan shrines, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri, are opened to devotees. Due to heavy snowfall in these areas, these temples will be closed for six months.


The Chota Char Dham is one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage circuits. Four pilgrimage destinations, Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, are located at the great heights of the great Himalayas.
