Ayodhya has been one of the most important pilgrimages and heritage destinations in India. However, with the construction of Ram Mandir in progress, it is expected to gain a more prominent role as a tourist destination.
The state government of Uttar Pradesh, along with Grand Ram Mandir, is also planning to introduce more projects to improve tourism in the state. The news is that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that a new international airport named after the Hindu deity Ram will soon be built in the area.
The Yogi Adityanath-led UP government wants to complete the airport project by December 2021. The official spokesperson told the news agency that the government expects Ayodhya to receive a large number of domestic and foreign tourists after the inauguration of the Ram Mandir. In addition, plans are underway to encourage Ram Mandir throughout the world. It is therefore clear that the traffic of passengers in Ayodhya will increase in the coming years.
The Ram Mandir was built according to the Nagara-style architecture. It'd have a height of 161 ft, three floors, and five domes. In addition, 360 pillars will support the entire temple structure spread over 10 acres of land, while the temple complex will occupy 57 acres of land.
In order to make it more special, the temple will be built using only copper metal; no other metal will be used in the building. It is said that the building of the temple will be completed by the end of the year 2023.
