While we are busy daydreaming about our next travel destinations, there are constant changes in rules coming in from countries across the world. Right now, the new travel advisory from Canada indicates that the country has banned the entry of foreign visitors until October 31. According to the Minister of Public Safety of Canada, Bill Bair, the country will close the arrival date of foreign tourists until the mentioned date.
The closure of Canadian borders is extended to all countries by land, air, or sea. The law also covers the United States, but for the remainder of October, no leisure holidays in Canada. However, if you are a Canadian citizen and have permanent residence, you can definitely come to Canada. You would then have to go through a 14-day self-quarantine.
When the pandemic caught the attention of the world for the first time in March, Canada had closed its borders for non-essential travelers and non-citizens. After a second wave impacted parts of the world, Canada agreed to shut down its borders.
Only such groups of individuals are now authorized for the rest of the month to fly to Canada. These include Citizens, and permanent residents; those who have work permits for non-discretionary and non-optional reasons; international students with valid permits to study or those who have been approved for a study permit.
In addition, permanent residents who have been approved for residency prior to March 18, 2020, and have not yet been eligible to move will also be allowed. It is also possible for any immediate family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to move in. In addition, all other classes of persons covered by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada are excluded.
